International Project Week Follow up 1 - this wikipage is under construction

Follow up

For students from International Business Studies there is an opportunity to collect additional credits by writing and presenting a paper. Students who attended the workshop on project management should write an individual paper on

International Project Week 2010 at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund

The paper should include contributions on:

0. Introduction
- overview
- core concept
- summary and results

1. Project weeks and summer schools - results of a web search
- a list of links with a short annotation and classification
- perspectives derived from the research for a project week in Dortmund

2. International Project Week 2009
- short review
- lessons learned
- perspectives derived from the project week 2009

3. International Project Week 2010
- Core concept: aims, target groups, ...
- Detailed description of workshops, special events, ..., preparations, follow-up
- Organization
- Financing: Fees, sponsors, ...
- Communication (before, during and after the project week - among participants and with others)
- Project management of the project week

4. Approaches for sponsoring

5. References, links, ...

6. Confirmation of the student, that all sources used are mentioned (books, papers, web sources, materials from other students, ... ) - with signature

The paper should meet the standard of a scientific paper or a thesis (with references and all links included that were used) - it should encompass about 20 pages with an additional appendix including for example documents of sponsors or additional information on selected cases found in the web.

For each paper a presentation will be prepared - 7 minutes each. Presentations will be given on the 10th of Juli - morning session on project week - afternoon session on creativity. Papers are submitted on the presentation (printed version - files).

The students should work on different concepts and should write individual papers.

Cases are derived from the table below - a student that selects a case writes his/her name in the box - and no second students is allowed to take the same case.

There are 3 types of project weeks:
- full week in Dortmund
- only 2 days (weekend?) in Dortmund with special preparations and follow-up
- 2 weeks in Dortmund

These types need different approaches and different concepts. Contents, organization and financial issues are totally different.

Besides the "core workshop" mentioned in the table additional workshops and other events should be planned.

Students may cooperate - but each student has to submit and present his/her own results.

Only 20 IB students are registered for the exam. We have to fix a date for the exam - based on the presentations.
